Thank You New England! #SNELovesPets 2016

Our Pledge

The Subaru Love Promise is our pledge to do right by the communities in which we all live and work. We've signed it, and we live by it each and every day - from our fuel-efficient vehicles to our eco-friendly plants. With #SNELovesPets, our dedication has become stronger than ever.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

We launched our second annual #SNELovesPets campaign during the month of October, also known as "Subaru Loves Pets" month. Six non-profit organizations in New England dedicated to the promotion of animal health, safety, and happiness were selected to be the recipients of the proceeds.

We asked New England pet owners to help us reach our goal of $60,000 by sharing a picture of their pets using #SNELovesPets. For every picture posted to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, we pledged to donate $5 to one of the six organizations. If we collected 12,000 photos or more, we would donate the entire $60,000 (or $10,000 to each organization).

Meet The Organizations

  • MSPCA-Angell (MA) - Protecting animals, relieving their suffering, advancing their health and welfare, preventing cruelty, and working for a just   and compassionate society.
  • Humane Society of Chittenden County (VT) - Fostering compassionate treatment of animals and preventing animal suffering.
  • New Hampshire Humane Society (NH) - Finding forever homes, providing shelter for animals, advocating for animals, and speaking for those who cannot speak themselves.
  • Coastal Humane Society (ME) - Protecting and saving animals' lives, educating and advocating for animal welfare, providing exemplary shelter and veterinary care, and placing animals in loving homes.
  • Animal Rescue Rhode Island (RI) - Rhode Island's only no-kill shelter for cats and dogs, ARRI rescues abandoned, abused and surrendered animals without geographic limitation, providing care and compassion until loving homes are found.
  • Connecticut Humane Society (CT) - Enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education and prevention of cruelty.

New Englanders Love Pets

We did it! During the month of October, 14,779 pictures were submitted from pet owners throughout New England and beyond using #SNELovesPets. This means that we are donating $60,000 to the six organizations! Thanks to your love and support, these organizations can continue fulfilling their mission of caring for animals.

Equally important as the money donated is the awareness that has been spread. We received numerous heartwarming pictures from you that truly encompassed our goal. Many of you shared stories of the day you adopted your pet, how your pets have changed your lives, and how every pet deserves to be cared for and loved unconditionally - regardless of where they come from. We are happy to see that much like SNE, New Englanders loves their pets!

Thank You, New England!

We'd like to thank everyone who participated in the #SNELovesPets campaign throughout the month of October. We called on all pet owners in New England to join us for this great cause, and you responded with the utmost support. Your participation will make the world of difference in the lives of these pets, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
