Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru of New England is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

Subaru Love Promise

The Subaru Love Promise is just that. A promise. It is a promise to do right by our community through partnerships with non-profit educational, health, community, environmental, and animal organizations. Our goal is to set Subaru apart through our deeds and the deeds of our partners. To be unlike any other car company by doing what is right and good, just for the sake of doing it. With #SNELovesPets, our dedication has become stronger than ever.

#SNELovesPets

It's no secret that Subaru of New England loves pets! Each year, approximately 6.5 million animals enter shelters, many of which are abandoned by their owners. As part of the Subaru Love Promise, our October #SNELovesPets Campaign is our dedication to supporting and promoting animal health, safety, and happiness. We also hope to raise awareness for and shine a much-deserved light on 12 non-profit organizations throughout New England that are committed to improving the lives of all animals every single day.

This is our SNE Loves Pets Campaign's sixth year! Over the past five years, Subaru of New England has donated over $250,000 to animal shelters across New England.

Who Are We Helping?

  •    (CT) Connecticut Humane Society: Envisioning a Connecticut where each companion animal finds a permanent, compassionate home, where communities are enriched by the special bond.
  •     (CT) Paws - Pet Animal Welfare Society: Seeking to increase the number of lives saved by finding adoptive homes for animals, working closely with other animal groups, and raising funds to secure the supplies and facilities necessary. PAWS also seeks to decrease the number of unwanted pets by informing and educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering.
  •     (MA) Northeast Animal Shelter: Established in 1976, one of New England's largest non-profit, no-kill animal shelters, has placed over 140,000 cats and dogs in their forever homes since opening their doors.
  •     (MA) Worcester Animal Rescue League: Giving care, providing shelter, and showing compassion for animals since 1912.
  •     (ME) Bangor Humane Society: Championing the humane treatment and adoption of companion animals while providing quality care for homeless pets and promoting animal welfare through education and advocacy.
  •     (ME) Midcoast Humane: Making life better for animals and people by providing care and second chances to nearly 3,500 animals every year, and assisting hundreds more through community programming.
  •     (NH) Humane Society for Greater Nashua: Advocating for and enhancing the lives of animals entrusted to their care while educating the community to strengthen the human-animal bond.
  •     (NH) New Hampshire SPCA: Saving the lives of companion animals through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption to promote learning, eliminate animal cruelty, and be a leader in advancing the highest standards of animal welfare.
  •     (RI) PAWS New England: Rescuing abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters and desperate situations, providing them with veterinary care and much needed TLC, and bringing them to New England where they are placed in safe, loving homes.
  •     (RI) Rhode Island SPCA: Dedicated to crusading for the rights and welfare of all animals throughout the state through legal, educational, legislative and investigative means, and the only non-profit animal organization in Rhode Island empowered to investigate and prosecute animal cruelty and neglect cases.
  •     (VT) Humane Society of Chittenden County: Fostering the compassionate treatment of animals and preventing animal suffering, strengthening the human-animal bond, and to further the cause of responsible animal ownership through education and public awareness.
  •     (VT) Rutland County Humane Society: Providing shelter and compassionate care while finding loving families for at risk and homeless companion animals.

Help Us, Help Them

This year, with your help, we can donate up to $60,000* to these New England animal organizations to make a paws-itive impact and raise awareness for animals in need.

Whether they're furry, scaly, feathered, or slimy - post a photo of your best animal friend on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using the hashtag #SNELovesPets during the month of October, and we'll donate $5 toward our $60,000 goal! While an image is sufficient, we hope you will include a sentence or two about your pet. Our goal is to receive 12,000 (or more!) unique photos (one per pet), enabling each animal organization to receive $5,000. However, the more photos submitted, the more we can raise awareness on the importance of adopting!

Each year, we could hand a check to these animal shelters directly, but for Subaru of New England, this campaign is about much more than the money. Our primary goal is to spread awareness about these animals that are near and dear to our hearts. With the money and awareness combined, we hope that more and more pets will receive the care, attention, and treatment that they deserve.

*Subaru of New England is partnering with 12 animal non-profit organizations throughout New England (2 per state) for the Subaru Loves Pets Campaign, which runs from October 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020. For each unique pet photo (one per pet) uploaded to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter during this timeframe with the hashtag #SNELovesPets, Subaru of New England pledges to donate $5 towards their $60,000 commitment - equivalent to 12,000 photos. At the end of the month, the money will be distributed evenly amongst all 12 organizations. Subaru of New England's donation will not exceed $60,000 total ($5,000 per animal organization).
