How do I select the charity or charities I want to receive the donation?

You must make your charity selection on www.subaru.com/share, by visiting your retailer's website, by calling 1-800-SUBARU3, by completing the form on the Digital Showroom kiosk at your retailer, or on the MySubaru app by January 15, 2027. You will be asked to provide your name, contact information, VIN, and charity selection. Subaru will then make the donation based on your designation. Visit subaru.com/share to learn more about the program and each of the participating charities.

What if I want to split the donation (i.e., select more than one charity) or vote more than once?

Each customer who has purchased or leased a new Subaru (Model Year 2026-2027) can either designate one charity to receive the $250 donation or split it among any number of the participating charities. Only one donation (of $250) is made per new vehicle sale or lease. If you would like to change your donation designation, you will need to re-submit your charity selections using any of the available methods.

How long do I have to make the charity selection?

While we encourage customers to make their charity selection at the retail store at the time of purchase, selections will be accepted online at subaru.com/share, your retailer's website, on the Digital Showroom kiosk at your retailer, on the MySubaru app, or by phone at 1-800-SUBARU3 through January 15, 2027.

What happens if I do not select a participating charity by the January 15, 2027 selection deadline?

The Subaru of America $250 donation per new vehicle sold or leased will only go to a participating charity if the customer makes their charity selection by the selection deadline. Please go to subaru.com/share to make your selection before January 15, 2027.

How will I know that the donation was made?

You will receive a thank-you email from Subaru on behalf of all the charitable beneficiaries of the campaign.

By what date will Subaru make the donations to each charity? How much money is expected to be donated?

Subaru will make the donation to each charity by May 31, 2027. Over the last 18 years, Subaru of  America and its participating retailers have donated over $345 million through the Subaru Share the Love Event. By the end of this year, Subaru and its participating retailers will have donated more than $370 million to help those in need.

Can I take a tax deduction for this donation?

Because Subaru of America is making the donation, the donation is not a tax-deductible contribution from the purchaser. Please consult with your tax professional for additional information.

Why do some retailers have five charity options and others have more charity options?

Subaru of America offered its retailers the option to select up to two charities in their communities to join the four national charities in the Subaru Share the Love Event. While some retailers are participating in this option, other retailers have decided to work with one local charity.

What qualifies as a 'routine service visit' under the service donation portion of the program, and how do I know if my retailer is participating?

A routine service visit includes customer payment of $5 or greater that includes the use of a genuine Subaru oil filter or any service included under warranty or a maintenance plan that includes a genuine Subaru oil filter, OR all electric vehicles that includes customer payment of $5 or more using the "EVROT" op code or any service covered under warranty or maintenance plans using the "EVROT" op code. These qualified visits will result in a total donation of $5 to the retailer's hometown charity or split equally between the retailer's two hometown charities.
